Tricia Tayrien Owner/Instructor
Tricia began her journey in the fitness industry with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness and becoming certified through AFAA and ACE as an Aerobics Instructor and Personal Trainer. Her expected path was to become a trainer in the corporate fitness industry, but when her fitness journey intersected with the practice of Yoga all of that would change.
In 1998, Tricia discovered Yoga and her passion for seeing others connect mind, body and soul led her to teaching. The disconnect between physique and spirit in the personal training industry became more apparent to Tricia after practicing yoga. She realized yoga was more than just exercise; it was an act of worship, an acknowledgement of the gift of our physical body as well as the realization of our potential to be more than just fit. To be completely fit, one must fully integrate mind, body and spirit. Tricia believes yoga is a powerful tool for becoming whole and has devoted herself to sharing the gift of yoga.
Tricia’s yoga classes are non-competitive, yet challenging to your physical and spiritual progress. Students of all levels can be found in Tricia’s Vinyasa, Gentle and Yoga Sweat classes. Her strongest yoga influences have been: Max Strom, Erich Schiffmann, Judith Lasater, Thomas Fortel, Kitty Daily and Bikram Choudhury. Tricia’s classes emphasize flow and integrating breath with movement.
